In Instructional System Design, my group worked on a project to instruct educators on using Animoto in the classroom. Learning to analyze a system like Animoto and then deciding the best way to present that information in a usable way in new situations was the goal of this project.
In the second artifact, I learned to use Weebly to house units. I was able to troubleshoot when necessary. When trying to add different features and projects, I was able to build skill and fluency with this tool.
The third artifact is a paper that I completed when taking my statistics course. In this course it was necessary for me to change my thinking and use my current knowledge in different ways to problem solve. I was put in a challenging situation and it became necessary for me to change my thinking in order to find solutions.

In Artifact 1 I collaborated with my peers from my courses in discussing different lessons and ways to improve to support student success.
Artifact 2 was an observation that I completed in a 4th grade classroom where I observed students and their teacher to improve my use of technology in the classroom. I was able to see how students interacted with the technology and also found ways and tools that I could use in my own classroom.
Example 3 is a post from my eMINTS instructor that I constantly collaborate with and continually receive training from on innovative technology tools.

c. communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats.
I communicate weekly through a newsletter that I upload to my website under the Newsletters link. I also email it to my students’ parents. Artifact 1 is an example of the newsletter.
Artifact 2 shows a link to a unit that I created on Weebly. I post students’ projects online so that parents are able to see what we have been creating in class. I also make sure to give specific written instructions and rubrics on the site to communicate with the students how they will be assessed.

Using the Kite site in Technology to Enhance Learning I was able to study different examples of technology being used in different situations and reflect on if the technology was being used effectively. Artifact 1 shows the way I classified each case report and gives a specific example using one of the case reports.
Artifact 2 shows a lesson plan that I created using the Newsy site where I used an information resource to guide research and learning about the environment.
